The battle was over and before her all lay in ruins, the sorrow filled her and her whole body shook as great sobs welled up and tears ran freely down her face. Her gaze drawn to the lifeless bodies of her beloved children lying smashed about her. Away in the distance her one true love lay, his vivid green body lying in a pool of slowly congealing blood, his life spent trying in vain to protect his precious family. She had no anger against Smaug now, all was spent, and just a poor wretched creature remained. In the sorrow of her heart the memory of the life they had planned lay as shattered as the eggs about her feet. Deep sorrow falling upon her, her blue scales fell like raindrops to the ground and in each one the hopes for the future faded and died.
